Kathleen: Thanks, Utah Mommy! We'll be moving the blog soon to a new site and will let everyone know where it is once we've finished. :)
Utah Mommy: doing my rounds until i bumped here. You have neat blog, have a good weekend!
Fire-Fox: Seasons Greetings and best wishes from Bajan Fire Fighters.
Liz: Thanks, Fire-Fox! I did visit your site too and it's a great one! Excellent information there.
Fire-Fox: Liz, its good to know that they are other folks out there just as crazy about supernatural as I am. Thanks great site...drop by if you have some time.
Kathleen: You're welcome! Glad to have you back, and now that I've got more 'experience', I'm still scanning for news stories. :)
Liz: Thanks to Kathleen for keeping us up to date with our guys here these last couple of weeks! Awesome job, sis! Awesome pix too! YUm-O!
Liz: No problem, Shelly! I have been so busy working on other things that I haven't had a chance to get over there much either. I'm on Book 3.
Shelly: I'm still writing my feelings on the first book, Liz. I just haven't had time to finish it. Just so you know that I didn't forget!
Liz: Thank you, Shelly!
Shelly: Liz, I hope that you had a great day yesterday! I sent you a e-card, but forgot to put my name one it. LOL just like me to do. Anyway, I hope it was great!
Liz: Huge Potter fans, Lyn! We also like to gush about our favorite actors as seen in the banner above, but at the moment, Harry rules the day! Have you finished the 7th book yet?
Lyn: Hi, I landed here while blog hopping. You are really into Potter huh? :)
tigger62977: Oh Shelly don't cry!! You're almost done!
Shelly: I haven't finished it yet, I'm on Chapter 32 right now. These past few days have not permitted me to be able to read. Yesterday we had to spend the day cleaning out the gerage because our A/C went out and today I spent 4 hours at the Dentist with the kids getting teeth filled. I am off to finish it right now. I LOVE THIS BOOK!! See ya at WK online soon.
Liz: Sorry! 'WunderkindOnline' link is on the left side of this page under 'Harry Potter'.
Liz: I finished it at around 7 p.m. CST yesterday! I'm opening 'Wunderkind' for discussion.
tigger62977: Oh Shelly! Did you finish it? I finished it yesterday afternoon. If you did how did you like it?? If not, how are your feelings on it so far?
Shelly: It's 9:30pm on Sunday night. I am one chapter 26 and will likely be done iwth the book tonight. I can't wait to hear how you found it Liz! I have to take the kids to the Dr. tomorrow morning, so I'll talk to ya later.
tigger62977: It's funny you should mention that, Renee. I've often thought that if I were in the world of Harry, I would never have taken Potions. I sucked at science and Chemistry in particular never interested me.
Liz: Thanks, Renee!
Renee: unique toy - harry potter spells and potions science activity kits are great gifts
Liz: Oh, that's a good idea! **thumps head!**
Shelly: You still have Wunderkind. Wake it up and we'll post there.
Liz: Thanks, Shelly! I had been hearing these things as well and I will not be anywhere near my computer or tv or (hopefully) newspapers until I have finished reading my book. As for a discussion of the book when we all finish, do you think I should start a message forum so we here can discuss the book? I know there are millions of boards out there, but I thought we might have a small group of our own here. Thoughts?
Shelly: I'm not sure if you have heard, but seeing as you are better informed then most, they reported on our news here that copies of Harry Potter DH is running around the internet. I already had the last book spoiled for me by someone at KB that forgot a spoiler tag, so I'm staying away from several places until I read the book. (Not here ofcorse! You would never dream of posting anything like that!!) I just wanted you warn you so that you can be careful and not have it spoiled for you.
Liz: He WAS cute, wasn't he! He was adorable on Jay Leno as well. Tonight he'll be on Conan O'Brian, which promises to be very entertaining. Conan is so funny, I can't wait to see Dan with him. It'll be like watching him with Jonathan Ross!
Shelly: That was a really great interview on Regis and Kelly. He is so cute and once he has his birthday I won't feel bad saying it! LOL I would have thought that he would have been one of the 10 to get a copy of the book. wow I have the DVR set to record tomorrows too. Thanks for all the heads up Liz.
Liz: Be safe, Shelly and Happy Fourth to you and yours!
Shelly: I hope that everyone has a great 4th! We are heading to Austin tomorrow and will be back on the 5th. Everyone be safe!
Liz: The news is coming in so fast and I've had computer issues, so I've just posted links to the various sites that contain all the photos and news there is available. Heather, let me know if you can't access a site and I'll copy and paste the article for you.
tigger62977: It's all starting! Harry Potter opened in Japan today.......there are pix posted on Yahoo.
Liz: Thanks, Liz!
Liz: nice site lol. :]
Shelly: Doing much better! Thanks everyone.
Liz: Oh Shellyy!! Are you better today? I hope so!
Kathleen: Oh no!!! :( Feel better, Shelly! Summer colds are mean!
Shelly: I'm sick!!
Shelly: For some reason it wont let me post a comment! I'll try later
tigger62977: The pix you posted last Friday. One is labeled "Serius Black".
Liz: I didn't! Where?
tigger62977: Um......how long have you been a Potter fan?? Look at how you spelled Sirius!!!!
Liz: Ok, I checked on that Evanna Lynch interview, Tigger. The original post states that you do have to register on their site to read it. It says it at the bottom. Sorry!
Liz: Dunno! I'll see if I can find the interview and post it here.
tigger62977: The website that has the full Evana interview. When you register, it asks for all this information that's only relevant in the UK.
Liz: Er?
tigger: Um, is there a reason why you have to be a resident in the UK in order to register to that website?
Kathleen: Hi Heather!!
tigger: Hi!
Kathleen: Welcome, Shelly!!

BBC Interview with Dan

Talking Shop: Daniel Radcliffe

Daniel Radcliffe is best known for playing the lead role in the five Harry Potter film series. The most recent, Order of the Phoenix, was released this summer. He is also signed up for the final two films.

The 18-year-old actor talks about his reaction to the final Potter novel, Deathly Hallows, and how filming is going for the next movie, Half-Blood Prince.

How does it feel to be part of such a successful film franchise?
In a way I don't think of it as a franchise, it's just what I've been doing for the last seven years. It's been amazing for me in terms of the people I've met, and the friends I've made - some of whom I hope I'll know for the rest of my life.

What are you favourite scenes in the Order of the Phoenix?

The one I love is the one that takes place in the tapestry room in Sirius Black's house, where he discusses the nature of good and bad... But essentially any scene with Gary Oldman or Imelda Staunton would be the ones I would watch again - and I'd just close my eyes when they cut to me.

You're one of the most recognised faces in the world. How do you keep your feet on the ground when other young stars - like Britney Spears - are having such a tough time of it?

I think there's a big difference between the way you grow up in America and in England if you're in this kind of position. In America, they'll treat you as an actor first and a child second. In England they treat you as a child first and that's the way it should be. Any 11-year-old who suddenly realises that that they can have anything they want is going to abuse that power, and you just need people around them to be honest and say "don't behave like that". I'm not sure that happens to the same extent in America.

You just started filming on the sixth Harry Potter film, the Half-Blood Prince. How's it going so far?

Really well. I've just been doing a bit of work with Jim Broadbent who plays Maurice Slughorn, who's just fantastic. And we've been doing a bit of stuff with me and Rupert [Grint, who plays Ron Weasley]. We haven't done any scenes with all the kids yet in the Great Hall - that's all to look forward to just after Christmas. It's glorious to be working with [director] David Yates again.

Is the next film going to have a different feel to Order of the Phoenix?

I think it will. In some places it will be quite a lot lighter, which is hard in a way for me because my natural instincts and personality tend towards the darker side. It's also nice to let people see Harry's sense of humour... but toward the end of the film it gets as dark as the fifth ever was.

The final book Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows came out in July. What was going through your mind as you read it?

I didn't read it until about four days after it had come out, by which time most of the world knew what had happened, so I was going round with my fingers in my ears. I did manage to read it without anyone else spoiling it for me. And I was thrilled. I'm glad I'm having a bit of a break between this film and number seven, but I'm very much looking forward to doing it.

Daniel Radcliffe was talking to BBC Entertainment reporter Tim Masters.
